David R. Mitchell received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia and his law degree from Washburn University.  Mr. Mitchell was Associate Editor of the Washburn Law Journal and has practiced law since 1985.  He formerly served as Assistant General Counsel to the Kansas Corporation Commission.  He practices primarily in the areas of Real Estate Law, Business Transactions and Litigation, Estate Planning, Probate, and General Business Law.  Mr. Mitchell is licensed to practice in Missouri.

During his career, Mr. Mitchell has been involved in many fine organizations in the metropolitan area.  He has been a Board Member of the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce, The Country Club of Blue Springs, Boy Scout Troop 692, Blue Springs BBQ Blaze Off, and has participated in many professional organizations such as The American Bar Association, The American Trial Lawyers Association, The Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Lawyers Association of Kansas City.  David is also the founder and pit-master for 1839 BBQ
